Urbanistic and demographic development in Dolní Poustevna and nearby settlements in years 1945 - 1990.

Abstract:

Práce mapuje 45 let poválečného vývoje v Dolní Poustevně a v obcích, které v tomto období spadaly do jejího katastru. Cílem práce je postihnout situaci, která nastala s odsunem Němců. Tedy, jaký dopad měly tyto historické události na další vývoj. Předně se zaměřuje na úpadek bohatého průmyslu, česko-německé vztahy a početnou menšinu německého obyvatelstva, která zde i po druhé světové válce zůstala. Dále mapuje demolice domů od konce 40. let a novou bytovou výstavbu, která začíná vznikat od poloviny let šedesátých. Tato témata jsou rozdělena do pěti hlavních kapitol, přičemž každá kapitola pojednává o událostech v jednotlivých časových úsecích. Snaží se přinést nový pohled na tyto události a ukázat, že bychom ve studiu historie neměli upadat do zaběhnutých stereotypů.

Abstract:

This work is mapping 45 years of post-war development in the village Dolni Poustevna and in villages which in that period of time fell into her register. The target of this work is to describe the situation that occurred with the expulsion of Germans. So, what after-effects had these historic events for further developments. First, it focuses on declining of the rich industrial, Czech- German relationships and a large minority of the German population which remained after WW2. It is also mapping the demolition of houses from late fortieth and new housing construction, which begins to take a shape in the mid-sixties. These topics are divided into five main chapters. Each chapter discusses events in different period of time. It is trying to bring a new perspective on these events and show that we should not fall into patterned stereotypes while studying the history.
