History of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in the Years 1921-1938 in the Brandýs nad Labem District

Abstract:

Rigorózní práce si klade za cíl zpracování dějin Komunistické strany Československa v politickém okrese Brandýs nad Labem v letech 1921 až 1938. Těžištěm práce budou archivní materiály z fondů ÚV KSČ, dokumenty z regionálních muzeí úředního i memoárového charakteru, periodický tisk a četnická hlášení o činnosti komunistů i příslušníků dalších politických stran. Práce se pokusí popsat vznik a vývoj komunistické strany a její utváření v okrese. Její úspěchy a neúspěchy bude dokládat na statistikách o počtech členské základny, volebních výsledcích i účastí na demonstracích. Práce si klade za cíl být prvním souhrnným zpracováním dějin Komunistické strany Československa v daném regionu a nastínit cestu k dalšímu bádání.

Abstract:

Rigorous thesis aims at the processing of the history of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in the political district of Brandýs nad Labem from 1921 to 1938. The focus of the work will be archival materials from the Central Communist Party, documents from the regional museums of official and memorabilia character, periodical press and gesture reports on the activities of the Communists and members of other political parties. The work will attempt to describe the origin and development of the Communist Party and its formation in the district. Its successes and failures will be evidenced by statistics on membership numbers, election results and demonstrations. The work aims to be the first comprehensive work on the history of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in the region and to outline the way to further research.
