Occupational therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder using elements of sensory integration

Abstract:

V úvodu své bakalářské práce bych chtěla čtenáře seznámit s důvodem, proč jsem si zvolila kvalifikační práci na téma poruchy autistického spektra, čím mě toto téma okouzlilo, a proč mě začala bavit a fascinovat práce s dětmi. Dále bych chtěla čtenáře pomocí literární rešerše seznámit s nejnovějšími metodami a pokroky v senzorické integrační terapii. Pomocí teoretických poznatků z odborné literatury jsem se snažila seznámit laickou a odbornou veřejnost s poruchami autistického spektra, čím jsou zapříčiněny, jak je možné diagnostikovat, jejich možné dělení, a jak se od sebe navzájem liší jednotlivé diagnózy. Poté jsem chtěla poukázat na možné terapeutické metody, a také jak úzce ergoterapie s PAS souvisí. Další část mé bakalářské práce jsem věnovala podrobné kazuistice svého klienta a možných metod, které jsem při terapiích využívala. Nedílnou součástí byly samotné terapie s klientem. Poslední část mé práce byla věnovaná zhodnocení, stanovení dlouhodobého ergoterapeutického plánu a závěrečné diskusi.

Abstract:

At the beginning of my bachelor's thesis, I would like to acquaint the reader with the reason why I just chose a qualification thesis on the topic of autism spectrum disorder, which enchanted me with this topic and why I began to enjoy and be fascinated by working with children. Furthermore, I would like to use the literature search to acquaint the reader with the latest methods and advances in sensory integration therapy. Using theoretical knowledge from the literature, I tried to acquaint the lay and professional public with autism spectrum disorders, what causes them, how they can be diagnosed, their possible division and how the individual diagnoses differ from each other. Then I wanted to point out possible therapeutic methods and how closely occupational therapy is related to PAS. I devoted another part of my bachelor's thesis to a detailed case study of my client and possible methods that I used in therapies. An integral part were the therapies themselves with the client. The last part of my work was devoted to evaluation, determination of a long-term occupational therapy plan and discussion.
