Determination of medical diagnosisi – is a prerequisite for educational intervention?

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem diagnostiky poruch autistického spektra (PAS) na následnou péči o dítě. Práce je rozdělena do dvou oddílů, teoretické a tvůrčí části. Práce referuje o PAS, vymezuje pojem a etiologii, zabývá se charakteristikou PAS. Podává informace o raném vývoji dítěte s autismem a o diagnostice tohoto postižení. Obsahem je také stanovení diagnózy PAS se zaměřením na dětský a atypický autismus. Oznámení diagnózy s následným vyrovnáváním se s postižením dítěte a sociální aspekty rodiny s dítětem s PAS jsou součástí práce, stejně jako možnosti edukace dětí s autismem a její specifika. Oblast vzdělávání je zakončena zaměřením pozornosti na podporu vhodného chování u dětí s PAS v předškolním věku. Empirická část je zaměřena na analýzu a vyhodnocení kvalitativního šetření, rozhovorů s rodiči dětí s PAS se zaměřením na oblast diagnostiky a následné péče. Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the influence of the diagnostics of the autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) on the subsequent child care. The work is divided into two sections – theoretical and creative one. It concentrates on ASD, delimiting the meaning of the term and its etiology, outlining the characteristic features of ASD and its diagnostics and summarizing the information on early development of children with ASD. It also deals with the diagnostics of ASD focusing on autism among children and atypical autism which it is possible to differentiate and with the announcement of the diagnosis to the parents, their coming to terms with it and with other social aspects related to the family with an ASD child. the third chapter outlines the possibility of the education of ASD and with respect to education pays the attention to the support of appropriate behaviour among ASD children in pre-school age. The empirical part of the work presents the analysis of the qualitative research, including interviews with parents with ASD children focused on diagnostics and subsequent care, and its results.
