Problems with Palliative Care in Children

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou paliativní péče u dětí. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část definuje pojmy paliativní péče, dále se zabývá potřebami dítěte a rodičů, kteří mají dítě v paliativní péči, současným stavem paliativní péče u dětí v České republice a nejčastějšími symptomy, které dítě během nemoci provází. Na konci teoretické části je popsáno pět fází umírání podle Elizabet Kübler Rossové. Praktická část zahrnuje kvantitativní výzkum realizovaný prostřednictvím nestandardizovaného dotazníkového šetření. Věnuje pozornost potřebám rodin dětí v paliativní péči. Cílem bylo zjistit, jak jsou uspokojovány vybrané potřeby rodičů dětí v paliativní péči.

Abstract:

This Bachelor´s thesis deals with issues of palliative care in children. This thesis is devided to theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part there terms of palliative care are defined. Then therotical part deals with needs of children and parents who have their child in palliative care, current situation palliative care in children in Czech Republic and the most often symptoms which are occured at children during illnes. At the end of theroretical part there are described 5 phases of dying according to Elizabet Kübler Ross. The practical part was oriented to quantitative research realized by nonstandardized questionnaire survey. It is pointed to needs of families of children in palliative care. Scope of this survey was to find out the fact how needs of parents of children in palliative care are satisfied.
