Abstract:

Diplomová práce analyzuje vliv rodičovství na ekonomickou aktivitu žen s dětmi do tří let v České republice a vybraných státech Evropské unie v období 2008–2018. Teoretická část poskytuje stručný vhled do problematiky zaměstnanosti žen s malými dětmi a zaměstnanosti žen obecně, popisuje související ekonomické teorie a konkrétní kroky, které v této oblasti podniká Evropská unie. V praktické části autorka nejdříve popisuje oblasti rodinných politik jednotlivých zemí týkající se žen s malými dětmi s důrazem na možnost slaďování pracovního a rodinného života. Dále autorka provádí časovou analýzu vybraných faktorů, které ovlivňují ekonomickou aktivitu žen s malými dětmi ve vybraných zemích. Hodnoty jednotlivých faktorů jsou poté podrobeny analýze a diskuzi, kdy je sledována zejména korelace s vývojem míry zaměstnanosti žen s malými dětmi v jednotlivých zemích. Z celkem třech hypotéz stanovených na začátku práce se první nepotvrdila ani nevyvrátila, druhá jednoznačně potvrdila a třetí potvrdila pouze částečně. V závěru práce autorka diskutuje hlavní a dílčí výsledky práce.

Abstract:

In this diploma thesis the author examines the influence of parenthood on the economic activity of women with children under three years of age in the Czech Republic and selected member countries of the European union between 2008 and 2018. The theoretical part briefly characterizes problems of maternal employment and women´s employment in general, economic theories related to this topic and describes specific policies for solving this issue implemented by the European Union. In the case study the author describes family policies of all three selected countries laying stress on possibilites of reconcilitation of family and work life. In the final part of case study the author does a time analysis of selected factors affecting economic activity of women with small children in all selected countries. Final values of all factors are analyzed and discussed, laying stress on a possible correlation between employment rate of women with small children in selected countries. There were three hypotheses stated at the beginning. The first one was neither approved nor disproved, the second one was approved and the third one was partly approved. At the end the author discusses the main and partial results of this thesis.
