Bakalářská práce se zabývá britskou a americkou angličtinou týkající se jejich znaků a preferencí nerodilých mluvčích angličtiny. Konkrétně se práce zabývá českými mluvčími angličtiny. Cílem teoretické části je poukázat na vývoj a původ britské a americké angličtiny a obeznámit čitatele se základními gramatickými, fonetickými a lexikálními rozdíly mezi britskou a americkou angličtinou.
