The Death Penalty and the Extraordinary People's Court in Jihlava in 1945-1948
Abstract:
Cílem práce je popsat činnost Mimořádného lidového soudu v Jihlavě v letech 1945-1948, především pak případy, v nichž byl udělen trest smrti. První část práce se zaměřuje na historii trestu smrti v Československu a popisuje obě fáze retribučního soudnictví. Část druhá se věnuje jednotlivým případům, v nichž byl vynesen Mimořádným lidovým soudem v Jihlavě trest smrti.
Abstract:
The main goal of this thesis is to describe function of the Extraordinary People's Court in Jihlava between 1945-1948, especially death penalty cases. First part is focused on the history of death penalty in Czechoslovakia, and describes both parts of the retributive justice. Second part is dedicated to the respective individual death penalty cases in Jihlava.
