Design and evaluation of the teaching of the topic Local region on the example of Chodska

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá navržením a ověřením výukového materiálu určeného pro výuku geografie místního regionu na 2. stupni základních škol a nižšího gymnázia v Domažlicích. Výukový materiál se zabývá tématem zemědělství na Chodsku. Struktura výukového materiálu byla stanovena na základě tvorby modelu hloubkové struktury výuky a výsledků I. polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s vyučující. Učební úlohy byly zaměřeny na rozvoj nejrůznějších kompetencí, včetně digitální. Navržený výukový materiál byl ověřen zvolenou vyučující ve výuce zeměpisu v 8. ročníku a porovnán s výukou vedenou standardním způsobem v paralelní třídě. Kvalita výukového materiálu byla posouzena na základě hodnocení ověřované výuky metodikou 3A a na základě výsledků III. a IV. polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s vyučující. Z experimentu vyšlo, že žáci mají znalosti o faktorech ovlivňující zemědělství, které dokáží identifikovat. Naopak mají problém s převodem plochy, která je uvedena v hektarech, na procenta a v orientaci a určení polohy na mapě, jelikož nemají znalost o světových stranách. Zjištěné selhávající situace, které se ve výuce vyskytly byly následně rozebrány a navržen postup k jejich odstranění. Na základě výzkumu je alterovaný výukový materiál možné použít ve výuce místního regionu.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and verification of teaching material intended for teaching the geography of the local region at the 2nd level of elementary schools and lower secondary schools in Domažlice. The teaching material deals with the topic of agriculture in Chodsk. The structure of the teaching material was determined based on the creation of a model of the in-depth structure of the teaching and the results of the first semi-structured interview with the teacher. Learning tasks were focused on the development of various competencies, including digital. The proposed teaching material was verified by the chosen teacher in the teaching of geography in the 8th grade and compared with the teaching conducted in a standard way in a parallel class. The quality of the teaching material was assessed on the basis of the evaluation of verified teaching using the 3A methodology and on the basis of the results of 3rd and 4th semi-structured interview with the teacher. The experiment showed that the students have knowledge about the factors affecting agriculture, which they can identify. On the contrary, they have a problem with converting the area, which is given in hectares, to percentages and with orientation and determining the position on the map, as they do not have knowledge of the sides of the world. Identified failing situations that occurred in teaching were subsequently analyzed and a procedure to eliminate them was proposed. Based on the research, the altered teaching material can be used in the teaching of the local region.
