ARTIST'S BOOK ON MY OWN TOPIC

Abstract:

Moje kniha je pokusem o shrnutí mé dosavadní praxe a poznatků, pokračování v hledání vlastního vizuálního jazyka a způsobů sebevyjádření. Důležité bylo také zahrnout ukrajinský kontext a představit mé oblíbeného spisovatele publiku. Snažím se o co nejupřímnější a nejemocionálnější zprostředkování myšlenky románu prostřednictvím hry s typografií, obrazy, barvami, strukturou knihy a materiály. Práce se skládá z mozaikových prvků, útržkovitých fragmentů; jakoby utkaných z jedinečných barev, zvuků, myšlenek a nálad. Aby se čtenář více ponořil do knihy, jsem zvýraznila otázky, které autor směřuje ke sám sebe kontrastní velikostí písma, což vyvolává pocit zmatku a rozpaků, které se v něm hledání pravdy. Velký podíl na mém vnímání knihy mělo to, že jsem ji rozdělila do tří strukturních celků části, odlišené barvou pozadí: deprese - šedá, zotavení a odpočinek - bílá, hněv - černá. Snažila jsem se v jedné knize ztvárnit poezii a protest, založené na velkých kontrastech, a emocionálních prožitcích a disonancích (hrůzy historických událostí a jejich lidské utrpení - krása přírody a radost z míru).

Abstract:

My book is an attempt to summarize my previous practice and knowledge, to continue the search for my own visual language and ways of self expression. It was also important to include the Ukrainian context and introduce my favorite writer to the audience. I aim to convey the idea of the novel as sincere and emotionally as possible by playing with typography, images, color, book structure, and materials. The work consists of mosaic elements, fragmentary fragments; as if woven from unique colours, sounds, thoughts and moods. To make the reader more immersed in the book, I have highlighted the questions the author directs to himself with a contrasting font size, which evokes a sense of confusion and a search for truth. A big part of my perception of the book was that I divided it into three structural parts, distinguished by the colour of the background: depression - grey, recovery and rest - white, anger - black. I tried to recreate poetry and protest in one book, based on great contrasts, and emotional experiences and dissonances (horrors of historical events and human suffering - the beauty of nature and the pleasure of peace).
