Use of Support Materials to Develope Communication Skills in Educations of Pupils with Mild Mental Disabilities

Abstract:

Závěrečná práce je zaměřena na problematiku vzdělávání žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením v souvislosti s rozvojem komunikačních schopností v rámci vyučování. Diplomová práce je tvořena dvěma základními částmi - částí teoretickou a částí praktickou. V teoretické části je pozornost věnována problematice lehkého mentálního postižení, konkrétně jeho základní terminologii, etiologii, klasifikaci a rovněž základním charakteristikám osobnosti žáka s lehkým mentálním postižením. Teoretická část diplomové práce se rovněž věnuje problematice komunikace, její základní klasifikaci, jazykovým rovinám v ontogenezi lidské řeči, ale také specifickým poruchám řeči u osob s mentálním postižením. Poslední z teoretických kapitol je věnována vývoji řeči u osob s touto diagnózou, alternativním a augmentativním komunikačním systémům, které lze u těchto jedinců uplatnit. Rovněž je zpracována základní problematika didaktických zásad ve vzdělávání žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením. Praktická část práce vychází z realizovaného výzkumného šetření. Hlavním cílem byla analýza podpůrných materiálů, které lze zařadit přímo ve vyučování a současně mají pozitivní vliv na rozvoj komunikačních schopností žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením.

Abstract:

Final work is focused on the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities in connection with the development of communication skills in the classroom. The thesis is composed of two basic parts - theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the issue of mild mental disability, specifically its basic terminology, etiology, classification, as well as basic characteristics of personality of pupils with mild mental disabilities. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with issues of communication, its basic classification, language levels in the ontogenesis of human speech, but also the specific speech disorder in people with intellectual disabilities. The last theoretical chapter is devoted to the development of speech in persons with this diagnosis, augmentative and alternative communication systems that can be applied in these individuals. It is also processed by the issue of didactic principles in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. The practical part is based on the realized research. The main objective was to analyze the supporting materials that can be included directly in the teaching and at the same time have a positive impact on the development of communication skills of pupils with mild mental disabilities.
