Optimizing internal intercultural communication in an international project team in a multinational company

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce s názvem „Optimalizace interní interkulturní komunikace mezinárodního projektového týmu v nadnárodní společnosti“ je identifikovat případné nedostatky bránící efektivní komunikaci a řízení projektového týmu. Cílem práce je stanovení interní komunikace v projektovém týmu, výsledky jsou založeny na provedeném výzkumu. Cílem výzkumu je nalezení bariér, které mohou komunikaci komplikovat a navrhnout opatření na jejich eliminaci. Teoretická část obsahuje informace týkající se komunikace, firemní kultury, motivace a projektového řízení. Aplikační část je věnována analýze vybrané firmy a její komunikace v mezinárodních projektových týmech. Na základě dotazníkového šetření a řízených rozhovorů, nebyly zjištěny v interní komunikaci projektového týmu závažné nedostatky, nicméně byly identifikovány oblasti vhodné pro optimalizaci. Výstupem této práce jsou návrhy pro možnou optimalizaci, včetně nástrojů k dosažení těchto zlepšení.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor thesis named "Optimization of internal intercultural communication of an international project team in a multinational company" is to identify possible deficiencies hindering effective communication and management of the project team. The goal of this thesis is determination of internal communication in a project team, the outcomes are based on performed research. The goal of the research is to find out which barriers make the communication process complicated and to propose corrective actions for their elimination. The theoretical part contains information relating to communication, corporate culture,motivation and project management. The application section is devoted to the analysis of the selected company and its communication in international project teams. Based on the questionnaire and structured interviews no serious deficiencies in internal communication of project teams were identified, however, suitable areas for optimization were found. The outcome of this thesis are proposals for possible optimization including tools for achievement of these improvements.
