Regional government in Slovakia: development, status and assets
Abstract:
Slovak regional governance has been established in 2001 and the process of its counstraction was highly affected by the political battle between Vladimír Mečiar and his opponents. This bachelor's thesis follows the events and the discussion before the establishment of regional governance and then analyses its position and assets to the Slovak political system
Abstract:
Krajská samospráva na Slovensku bola etablovaná v roku 2001 a jej podobu výrazne ovplyvnil politický súboj medzi Vladimírom Mečiarom a jeho oponentmi. Táto bakalárska práca sleduje proces vzniku regionálnej samosprávy na Slovensku, jej pozíciu v politickom systéme a vybrané praktické výstupy z jej praxe.
