Rakovina vaječníků je druhé nejčastější onkogynekologické onemocnění. Více než 70% případů je diagnostikováno ve III. a IV. stádiu, kdy je pěti-leté přežití pouze 20 – 30%. V současné době léčba onemocnění spočívá v chirugickém odstranění nádoru, radioterapii a chemoterapii. Abstract:
Ovarian cancer is the second most common gynecological cancer. More than 70% of cases are diagnosed in III. and IV. stage, when the 5-year survival is only 20 – 30%. Currently the treatment is based on surgical removal of the tumor, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
