Abstract:

Cílem absolventské práce je představit model Independent Living jako inspiraci pro nezávislý způsob života v České republice. Práce je kompilací na téma Model Independent jako zdroj inspirace pro nezávislý způsob života osob se zdravotním postižením v České republice. V první kapitole uvádím různá pojetí zdravotního postižení. V podkapitole se zabývám vývojem práv osob s postižením, následně se zaměřuji na modely zdravotního postižení. Druhá kapitola pojednává o nezávislém způsobu života z pohledu legislativního ukotvení. V podkapitolách se věnuji legislativním dokumentům zakazujícím diskriminaci z perspektivy mezinárodního práva, Evropské unie a české legislativní úpravy. V českém prostředí je zákaz diskriminace ukotven zejména v Úmluvě o právech osob s postižením. Hnutí Independent Living a stejnojmenný model představuji ve třetí kapitole absolventské práce. Model Independent Living vnímám jako příklad dobré praxe ze zahraničí, který se snaží o komplexní nahlížení všech aspektů důležitých pro realizaci nezávislého způsobu života osob s postižením. Usiluje o odstranění diskriminace a rovnost práv osob s postižením a bez postižení.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to introduce The Independent Living Model as inspiration for independent living in the area of The Czech Republic. The thesis is a compilation aimed to introduce the topic of Independent Living Model as an inspiration for Independent Living in the area of the Czech Republic. In the first chapter I mention a variety of physical disability conceptions. Consequently, in subchapter I am focusing on to the development of physical disability rights. Furthermore, I am depicting various models of disability. The second chapter includes the legislative perspectives of independent life. In the adiascent subchapters I am orientet on legislative and other important anti-discrimination documents from European Union, international law and Czech legislative perspectives. Specifically, in the Czech Republic the anti-discrimination strictly determined in The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The Independent Living Movement and model of the same name is introduced in third chapter. I consider the Independent living model, which is becoming a standard abroad, to be the right approach towards resolving this issue. This model includes comprehensive view on all aspects of Independent Lives problem. Generally, the model strives for discrimination withdrawal and equal rights for people with and without disability.
