Corruption as a means of power and its influence on the population

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá korupcí a zkoumáním, zda je korupce prostředkem moci a jaké má korupční jednání vliv na obyvatelstvo. Posuzuje se úředník a jeho možnost být zkorumpovaný. Rozebírá se problematika ochrany oznamovatelů jako protikorupční strategie. Zkoumají se příčiny vzniku korupce spojené s typologií korupčních postojů. Z analýzy dotazníkového šetření vyplývá že korumpující není vždy jen sám úředník, ale že ke korupci často přistupují i obyvatelé, kteří úředníkovi poskytují pohnutky k braní úplatků. Všeobecně má korupce negativní dopady na obyvatelstvo, a proto může postupně docházet k rozdělení společnosti. Korupce často bývá spojována za prostředek moci především jedná-li se o systémovou korupci. Protikorupční strategie by měly být zaměřeny na každý resort zvlášť. Správná aplikace nové směrnice o ochraně oznamovatelů přispěje více k odhalování korupčních aktivit.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with corruption and examining whether corruption is a means of power and how corruption affects the population. The official and his possibility of being corrupt are assessed. The issue of whistleblower protection as an anti-corruption strategy is discussed. The causes of corruption associated with the typology of corrupt attitudes are investigated. The analysis of the questionnaire survey shows that the corrupt is not always only the official himself, but that the inhabitants often approach corruption, who provide the official with incentives to take bribes. In general, corruption has negative effects on the population, and therefore society may gradually become divided. Corruption is often associated as a means of power, especially when it comes to about systemic corruption. Anti-corruption strategies should be focused on each department separately. The correct application of the new whistleblower directive will contribute more to the detection of corrupt activities.
