Syntactical and semantical difficulty in spoken expressions of a TV news

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí. V první části se zaměřujeme na přiblížení publicistického stylu a především pojmu reportáže. Přibližujeme zde i pojem masových médií a jejich významu ve společnosti. Dále pak čtenáře seznamujeme s obsahovou analýzou textu, a především pak s měřením obtížnosti vybraných textů. Popisujeme zde metody měření z historického hlediska. Charakterizujeme dále metodu, kterou jsme si pro své měření vybrali my. Metoda je popsána dopodrobna i s příslušnými vzorečky a instrukcemi pro získání výsledků. V druhé praktické části se zaměřujeme na výpočet obtížnosti textových vzorků vybraných televizních stanic. Vybrali jsme si texty televizních reportáží a snažili jsme se je mít na stejné nebo podobné téma. Věnujeme se především syntaktické a sémantické stránce obtížnosti. Text analyzujeme pomocí vzorců popsaných v teoretické části a diskutujeme nad výsledky našeho měření. Texty nám nakonec vyšly jako méně obtížné a rozdíl obtížností mezi jednotlivými stanicemi není nikterak vysoký.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is composed of two main parts. The first part focuses on taking closer look to the news style and the perception of the reportage. We are also focusing on the mass media and the meaning of the mass media themselves. Next we would like to introduce to you the content of the analysis of the text, focuing on processing the difficulty of the texts especially. We are describing the methods of the measuring from the historical point of view and characterize the method, we have chosen. The method is described precisely by the patterns and instructions to gain the results. In the second part, which is a practical part, we are taking closer look to the calculation of the difficulty of the text of the television´s stations. We have chosen some texts of the reports and focused on the similarities of the topics. We are dealing with the syntactic and the semantic part of the complexity. The text is being analyzed by using the patterns described in the first theoretical part and compared to the results of measurement of ours. The texts have finally appeared not being that difficult and the difference between particular stations isn't that empathic.
