Social responsibility of banks in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma společenská odpovědnost bank v ČR se zabývá zmapováním stavu společenské odpovědnosti a jejím uplatňováním u vybraných bank v České republice. Společenská odpovědnost firem je tématem, které stále více nabývá na významu. Veřejnost zajímá, jak se firma angažuje v rámci CSR, jak působí na okolní firmy, jak se stará o zákazníky, o zaměstnance či jak je šetrná k životnímu prostředí. Teoretická část práce se věnuje popsání hlavních teoretických východisek. Pozornost je věnována zejména konceptu společenské odpovědnosti, jeho hlavním charakteristikám, oblastem, které jsou popsány podle všeobecně uznávaného systému triple-bottom-line, či argumentům pro a proti. V dalších bodech je analyzována situace společenské odpovědnosti v ČR a následně ve světě, kde se práce zaměřuje především na Evropskou Unii. V aplikační části bylo cílem provést analýzu společensky odpovědných aktivit ve vybraných bankách (Československá obchodní banka, a.s., Komerční banka, a.s., Česká spořitelna, a.s.)

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis on the topic of social responsibility of banks in the Czech Republic is engaged in mapping the state of social responsibility and its application in selected banks in the Czech Republic. Corporate social responsibility is a topic that is incereasingly gaining in importance. The public interested in how the company is committed to CSR, as has the surrounding businesses, how to care for customers, employees, or about as envronmentally frienedly. The theoretical part it devoted to describe the main theoretical founditions. Attention is paid to the concept of social resposibility, the principal characteristics of these areas, which are described in accordance with generally recognized system for triple-bottom-line, or the arguments for and against. In subsequent sections analyzing the situation of social responsibility in the Czech Republic and then in a world where work fucuses primarily on the European Union. In the application of the analysis was to implement socially responsible activities in selected banks (CSOB, a.s., KB, a.s., CS, a.s.).
