Logistics of Humanitarian Actions on the Expample of a Tornado Affected Area

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá logistikou humanitárních akcí. Pro příklad jsou zvoleny oblasti zasažené tornádem. Teoretická část je orientovaná na pojmy z logistiky, mimořádných události, humanitárních organicích a další oblasti, které se zabývají touto problematikou. Praktická část je cíleně zaměřená na organizaci Český červený kříž. Zabývá se jeho reakcemi a postupy při tornádu, které se vyskytlo na jižní Moravě. Získává a vyhodnocuje, informace o tom, jak si Český červený kříž vedl ohledně logistiky a organizace práce v daných obcích, z pohledu dobrovolníků. Díky dotazníku byl navrhnut i scénář, jak mají organizace postupovat při mimořádných událostech.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the logistics of humanitarian actions. For example, areas affected by a tornado are chosen. The theoretical part is oriented on concepts of logistics, emergencies, humanitarian organisations and other fields that deal with this issue. The practical part is specifically focused on the Czech Red Cross. It deals with its response and procedures during the tornado that occurred in South Moravia. It obtains and evaluates information on how the Czech Red Cross performed in terms of logistics and organisation of work in the municipalities concerned, from the perspective of volunteers. Thanks to the questionnaire, a scenario was also proposed on how the organisations should proceed in emergencies.
