Open science initiative fulfillment in selected projects funded by the EU program Horizon 2020

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice implementace iniciativy otevřené vědy v Evropské unii skrze program Evropské komise Horizon 2020. V rešeršní části autorka představuje iniciativu otevřená věda, její definice a historický vývoj a vztah k akademickému prostředí. V práci je přiblížen program Horizon 2020, jeho tematické zaměření a cíle a podpůrné platformy. Následně je prostor věnován vztahu programu Horizon 2020 k otevřené vědě a její interpretaci v podobě stanovených požadavků na financované projekty. V praktické části se autorka věnuje popisu metodiky výběru dat a hodnocení naplňování otázek otevřené vědy v projektech financovaných programem Horizon 2020. Na základě vzniklých kritérií nakonec autorka hodnotí naplnění aspektů otevřené vědy jak na úrovni jednotlivých projektů, tak průřezem kritérii pro vytvoření uceleného obrazu efektivity implementace otevřené vědy v praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the topic of the open science initiative implementation in the European Union through a European Commission programme Horizon 2020. In the research part, the author introduces the initiative open science, its definitions and history, and its relationship to the academic environment. The thesis introduces the programme Horizon 2020 and its topics and goals, and its supporting platforms. Further, the aim is at the relationship Horizon 2020 stands towards open science and how it interprets open science into specific requirements put upon the funded projects. In the practical application section, the author describes the methodology of data selection and evaluation of fulfillment of the aspects of open science within the projects funded by the programme Horizon 2020. Based on the emerged criteria, the author evaluates the projects, both at the level of the single open science aspects and cross-criteria, to create a comprehensive picture of the efficiency of the implementation of open science in practice.
