Supervision in Working with People with Mental Illness

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na supervizi při práci s lidmi s duševním onemocněním. Cílem práce je zmapovat realizaci supervize v organizaci pracující s lidmi s duševním onemocněním. V teoretické části se první kapitola zabývá supervizí jako takovou, definuje její význam, funkce, cíle a formy. Dále se zabývá rolí supervizora, jeho osobností a charakteristickými dovednostmi. Druhá kapitola popisuje supervizi v sociální práci, její význam, definuje syndrom pomáhajících, syndrom vyhoření a jak proti nim bojovat. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na lidi s duševním onemocněním, zabývá se vztahem mezi pracovníkem a jeho klientem a hranicemi, které je potřeba při této práci dodržovat, aby vztah fungoval efektivně. Na teoretickou část navazuje část praktická, kde jsou definovány hypotézy práce, popis organizace, kde byl výzkum proveden a vyhodnocený dotazník, který byl použit jako výzkumná metoda pro zjištění dat. Samotný dotazník je umístěn v přílohách. Samotný výzkum se zaměřuje na mapování supervize v organizaci Fokus Praha, z. ú., která se věnuje klientům s duševním onemocněním. Cílem je zjistit jaké formy a druhy supervize organizace nabízí, jak jsou pracovníci spokojeni s osobou supervizora, zda má supervize pozitivní vliv na práci s klienty a jakých témat se týkají zakázky pracovníků podle délky jejich praxe v sociálních službách.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is centred on performance of supervision of people with mental illness. The purpose of the thesis is to map out the implementation of supervision within a company that works with people with mental illness. The first part of the theory deals with supervision itself, defines its´s purpose, functions, goals as well as forms of the supervision. Still, it explains a role of a supervisor, their personality and specific skills. The second part describes supervision and its´ function within social services, explains assistant syndrome, burnout syndrome and the way how to minimize their negative influence on social workers. The last part is focused on people with mental illness and their relationship with a social worker. The theory shows the need to keep a certain distance between a client and their consultant to provide an effective relationship. The hypotheses of the thesis as well as a description of a company where the investigation was realised, follows in a practical part. It also presents a conducted research and its´ final outcomes. The questionnaire itself is a part of an enclosure. The research maps out supervision in Fokus Praha, z. ú., (registered institution), organisation that works with people with mental illness. The other aim of the investigation is to discover forms and types of supervision that company offers to their employees, monitors satisfaction with a supervisor as well as positive influence of supervision on social work. Last but not least, the research studies topics solved within supervision in accordance to the length of experience as a social worker.
