Cardiac arrest is one of the main causes of premature death among patients suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Primary cause of this condition is absence of dystrophin. Srdeční selhání představuje jednu z hlavních příčin předčasného úmrtí pacientů trpících Duchennovou svalovou dystrofií. Primární příčinou onemocnění je absence dystrofinu, avšak samotné molekulární mechanismy vedoucí k srdečnímu selhání nejsou dostatečně známé.
