Employee Benefits in the Public and Private Sector

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o zaměstnaneckých benefitech ve státní a soukromé sféře. Jde o pilotní šetření zaměstnaneckých benefitů státního a soukromého sektoru. Sběr dat probíhal prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. Cílem práce bylo zhodnocení poskytování benefitů ve státní a v soukromé sféře a vysledování případných rozdílů. Teoretická část popisuje koncepci personalistiky, zaměstnanecké benefity, jejich stručnou historii, cíle a členění. V praktické části je prezentován samotný kvantitativní výzkum. Výzkumu pro tuto bakalářskou práci se zúčastnily tři firmy z oboru telekomunikací. V práci je použita mimo jiné deskriptivní metoda a metoda komparace. Na základě analýzy výsledků, porovnání přehledů benefitů a porovnání sektorů byly vysledovány určité rozdíly. Bylo zjištěno, že státní podnik i přes jistá omezení v poskytování benefitů nijak nezaostává za sférou soukromou, která v poskytování zaměstnaneckých výhod není nijak omezena. Dále bylo v práci zjištěno, že existují určité předsudky vůči státní sféře v podobě tvrzení, že státní zaměstnanci mají tendenci přecházet do soukromého sektoru za lepší odměnou a výhodami.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with employee benefits in the public and private sector. This is a pilot survey of employee benefits of the public and private sector. Data collection was made using a questionnaire survey. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the provision of benefits in the public and private sector and to trace potential differences. The theoretical part describes the concept of human resources, employee benefits, their brief history, targets, and classification. The practical part presents the quantitative research itself. Three companies from the field of telecommunications participated in the research for this bachelor thesis. The bachelor thesis uses, among other things, a descriptive method, and a comparative method. Based on the analysis of the results, the comparison of the benefit overviews and the comparison of the sectors, certain differences were observed. It was found that the state-owned company, despite certain restrictions in the provision of benefits, does not lag behind the private sector, which is not limited in any way in the provision of employee benefits. Furthermore, this bachelor thesis found that there are prejudices against the public sector in the form of claims that state employee, tend to move to the private sector for better remuneration and benefits.
