"The Personal Assistance in Concept of the Comprehensive Rehabilitation".

Abstract:

Práce představuje koncept ucelené rehabilitace a vymezuje sociální službu osobní asistence. Autor se snaží odpovědět na otázku: Jak může osobní asistence pomoci uceleně rehabilitovat děti a mladistvé s mentálí retardací a autismem na Znojemsku? Pro získání odpovědi autor v teoretické části definuje ucelenou rehabilitaci, sociální služby, osobní asistenci, mentální retardaci, autismus a region Znojmo. Praktická část práce přináší deskripci Osobní asistence Znojmo, a to jako jediného znojemského poskytovatele sociální služby osobní asistence. Autor pátrá po způsobech poskytování osobní asistence. Za kvalitní sociální službu považuje tu, která naplňuje standardy kvality sociálních služeb. Oslovuje osobní asistenty a zjiš´tuje jejich vztah k tvorbě, přijetí a naplňování satndardů. Vedle toho autor zjišťuje potřeby rodičů dětí s postižením i dětí samotných. Zkoumá, zda rodiče chtějí své děti uceleně rehabilitovat a zda osobní asistence zlepšuje kvalitu života dětí s mentální retardací a autismem.

Abstract:

The work represents the concept of comprehensive rehabilitation and specifies the social service of a personal assistance. The author tries to answer the question: How the personal assistance can help in the comprehensive rehabilitation of children and juvenescent with mental retardation and autism in Znojmo region? To get the answer the comprehensive rehabilitation, social services, personal assistance, mental retardation, autism and the region of Znojmo are defined by the author in the theoretical part. The practical part of the work brings the description of the Osobní asistence Znojmo – the only provider of the personal assistance in Znojmo. A social service is regarded by him as a high-quality social service when fulfilling the quality standards of the social services. He addresses personal assistants and learns their approach to the creation, acceptance and fulfilment of the standards. Besides it the needs of the children´s parent and of the children themselves are being ascertained by the author. He explores whether the parents want to provide their children with the comprehensive rehabilitation and whether the personal assistance improves the quality of life of the children with mental retardation and autism.
