Abstract:

Anotace Téma práce: Filmový průmysl v České republice Název práce: Atraktivita České republiky pro zahraniční filmové produkce Vypracovala: Barbora Pokorná Datum: 25. 5. 2012 Stručná charakteristika: Bakalářská práce Atraktivita České republiky pro zahraniční filmové produkce pojednává o problematice konkurenceschopnosti České republiky na mezinárodním poli filmového průmyslu. Řeší důvody propadu objemu zahraničních filmových produkcí natáčejících na našem území a poukazuje na současnou situaci. Propad nastal roku 2004 a znamenal zásadní zásah do celkových objemů filmové produkce v České republice. Mezi lety 2004 a 2009 se jednalo až o 86% úbytek zahraniční produkce na našem území. Práce se vztahuje zejména na současný trend investičních pobídek v tomto sektoru. Na něj Česká republika dokázala zareagovat až v roce 2010 zavedením Programu podpory filmového průmyslu. Program umožňuje kompenzaci 20 % uznatelných nákladů, které byly vynaloženy na našem území. Dle studií vykazují pobídky pro stát zisk a vzhledem k výrazným nepřímým dopadům natáčení je žádoucí tuto oblast podporovat. Cílem práce je ale poukázat na to, že Česká republika stále není konkurenceschopná díky tomu, že Program podpory filmového průmyslu neakceptuje základní principy výroby filmů. Výzkum probíhal formou hloubkových rozhovorů s pracovníky filmového sektoru a studiem dostupných dokumentů. Abstract:

Annotation Area of interest of the thesis: The film industry in the Czech Republic Name of the thesis: The Attractiveness (Selling Points) of the Czech Republic for Foreign Film Production Crews Done by: Barbora Pokorná Date: 25. 5. 2012 Short summary: The main topic of this thesis are the problems surrounding the competiveness of the Czech Republic in the field of the international film industry. It is concerned with the reasons of a decrease in the number of foreign film production crews making movies, and attracts attention to the current state of the problem. The decrease started in 2004 and it translated itself into a radical change of the volume of film production in the Czech Republic. Between years 2004 and 2009 the diference between the number of film productions in the country was 86 %. The thesis is focusing mainly on the current investment incentives in the sector. The Czech Republic was not able to react to it until 2010, when it established the Film Industry Support Programme. The programme enables a compensation of 20 % of allowable expenses, which were spent in the country. According to various studies the incentives are profitable for the country and it is worth to support this area of business because of distinctive indirect impacts of it. The aim of the work was to demonstrate that the Czech Republic is still not able to compete with other countries due to the fact that the Film Industry Support Programme does not accept the main principles of making movies. The research was conducted as a series of detailed interviews with people working in the film industry and by studying the available documents.
