Abstract:

Ženy v manažerských pozicích: strategie slaďování osobního a pracovního života žen pracujících na manažerských pozicích Abstrakt Práce se zabývá kvalitativní analýzou strategií, které si vytvářejí ženy pracující na manažerských pozicích za účelem slaďování osobního a pracovního života. Vychází z výzkumů Aleny Křížkové a jejich výsledky porovnává s výsledky rozhovorů se šesti manažerkami v nejmenovaném zahraničním obchodním řetězci působícím na území České republiky. Konflikt pracovní a rodinné sféry nutí ženy vytvářet strategie, které jim umožňují zvládat obě náročné role. Tyto strategie se mění s věkem a rodinnou situací žen. V práci jsou popsány některé strategie mladých bezdětných manažerek, manažerek s dětmi i strategie bezdětných manažerek. Ve skupině šesti žen, se kterými byly vedeny rozhovory, se nevyskytla starší bezdětná manažerka. Tato situace je důsledkem toho, že firma dává přednost mladým uchazečkám o zaměstnání a protože působí na Českém trhu teprve deset let, nemohla ve firmě dosud dozrát generace žen programově nebo z jiných důvodů bezdětných. Všechny oslovené manažerky dosáhly výrazného pracovního úspěchu a tomu přizpůsobují svůj soukromý život. Jsou toho názoru, že firma se nazabývá rovnými příležitostmi žen a mužů a že specifické potřeby žen nejsou zaměstnavatelem řešeny. Přesto si myslí, že se žena může prosadit, ale za cenu většího úsilí než muži. Alice Rutková

Abstract:

Women in managerial positions: strategies of work and life balance of women in managerial positions Abstract The thesis deals with analyzing of strategies that are formed by women working in management positions in order to balance their time between work and personal life. It proceeds research results of Alena Křížková and compares her results to the results of interviews which have been given by six women managers working in an anonymous foreign commercial chain store network operating in the Czech Republic. Conflict of professional and family domain forces women to create certain strategies that enable them to manage both demanding roles. These strategies are changing with the age and family situation of women. The thesis describes some strategies of young women managers without children, women managers with children and strategies of managers without children. In the group of six women who have been questioned, no middle aged childless woman manager appeared. This situation is a consequence of the fact that the chain store company prefers young job applicants and because it has been operating on the Czech market only for since ten years, the generation of women who do not have children because of their decision or some other decisions, has not taken its position yet. All interviewed women managers have achieved a great professional success and they have adjusted their private life to this aim. They are of the opinion, that the firm doesn't take care of equal opportunities of women and men and that specific needs of women are not resolved by employer. In spite of the fact they still think that the female employees may achieve a certain success but they are obliged to put more effort into their carrier than male employees. Alice Rutková
