Dying and Death from The Perspective of Crisis Interventions

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce seznamuje čtenáře s problematikou umírání a smrti v rámci krizové intervence. Práce se zaměřuje především na krizové interventy a jejich pohled na umírání a smrt, jejich emocionální zátěž, náročnost práce a rozdíl mezi konkrétními očekáváními a danou pracovní činností. Cílem bakalářské práce je poukázat na náročnost práce krizového interventa, ale také na potřebu krizové intervence v běžném životě. Teoretická část se zabývá seznámením se s pojmy jako jsou umírání a smrt, krizová intervence, krizový intervent a krize. Praktická část se snaží formou kvalitativního výzkumu zjistit emocionální zátěž krizových interventů a její možné řešení, náročnost práce s různými klienty a vysvětlení proč tomu tak je, ale také zjišťuje, jaké životní hodnoty byli nuceni krizoví interventi pozměnit v rámci setkávání se tváří v tvář umírání či smrti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis introduces the reader to the issue of dying and death in the context of crisis intervention. The thesis is focused mainly on crisis intervention experts and their view of dying and death, their emotional burden, the complexity of their work and differences between specific expectations and work activities. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to point out the work complexity of crisis intervention experts as well as to emphasize the need for crisis interventions in everyday life. In the theoretical part, the reader is acquainted with concepts such as dying and death, crisis intervention, crisis intervention expert and crisis. In the practical part, the qualitative research is presented. It deals with the emotional burden of crisis intervention experts and the possibilities of its solution, complexity of working with different clients and explains the causes and reasons. Crisis intervention experts' life values, which must have been changed due to encounters with dying and death, are studied as well.
