Kriminalistická prohlídka je metodou kriminalistické taktiky a vychází z policejní praxe. Prohlídkou jsou zajišťovány hledané věci, které jsou důležité pro trestní řízení jako důkazní prostředky. Cílem prohlídky může být rovněž zajištění osoby pachatele a zamezení jeho další trestné činnosti. V České republice je prohlídka vykonávána Policií České republiky dle platného trestního řádu. Criminological examination is method of criminological tactics and comes from police practice. The search secures wanted items that are important for criminal proceedings as evidence.
