Addiction on the Internet as phenomenom of the current young generation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku internetové závislosti především u mladé generace. V pěti kapitolách této práce jsou objasněny nejdůležitější pojmy související s danou problematikou. Byla zde srovnávána situace v České republice a v zahraničí, včetně uvedení nejčastějších internetových aktivit. Zároveň jsou zde popsány přínosy a také rizika se kterými se uživatelé mohou na internetu setkat. Byly zde také přiblíženy nejčastější příčiny vedoucí ke vzniku netomanie, včetně jejich důsledků a možnosti léčby či prevence. Následně jsem se pokusila popsat možnou prevenci vzniku netomanie z hlediska rodiny, školy a aktivního trávení volného času. V poslední části diplomové práce byl proveden výzkum formou dotazníkového šetření, který prokázal souvislost mezi délkou času strávenou na internetu a uspokojivým soukromým životem mladého člověka.

Abstract:

Dissertation is concentrated on a problem of internet addiction, mostly among young generation. In five parts of this thesis, the most important terms related to the problem are clarified. The situation in Czech republic and abroad was compared, including introducing the most frequent internet activities. Simultaneously, there are described the assets and also the risks that internet users might come across. There were also expounded the most frequent causes leading to the arise of netomania including their consequences and possibilities of treatment or prevention. Then I attempted to describe possible prevention of arise of netomania in perspective of the family, school and active spending of free time. In the last part of the dissertation was executed a survey in form of a questionnaire which proved the connection between the time spent on the internet and satisfying social life of a young person.
