Legalization of so-called Soft Drugs - Arguments For and Against

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with positives and negatives of the legalization of so-called soft drugs. It explains what the drugs are, the division of drugs according to various criteria into several categories and it describes their effects. For better understanding of the topic is also mentioned the history of selected drugs. The next section attempts to describe the opinions of international organizations dealing with the drug issues and also describes the drug legislation in selected countries. The main part of this work deals with the arguments for and against the legalization of so-called soft drugs in several areas, and with the countries in which soft drugs are already legal.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá pozitívami a negatívami spojenými s legalizáciou tzv. mäkkých drog. Vysvetľuje čo sú to drogy, približuje ich delenie podľa rôznych kritérií a opisuje ich účinky. Pre lepšie pochopenie problematiky taktiež približuje ich históriu. Práca sa neskôr zameriava na stanoviská medzinárodných organizácií, ktoré sa zaoberajú drogovou problematikou a na legislatívy vybraných štátov. Hlavná časť je venovaná samotným argumentom pre a proti legalizácii tzv. mäkkých drog a tiež štátom, ktoré legalizáciu už absolvovali.
