Efficiency improvement of receivables management

Abstract:

Cílem práce je analyzovat současný a minulý stav řízení pohledávek ve společnosti XY, s.r.o., popsat její přístupy k řešení pohledávek po splatnosti, zhodnotit vývoj těchto pohledávek za období let 2008 – 2012 a potvrdit, že účetní jednotka nedostatečně využívá nástroje řízení pohledávek. Současně bude navrhnut nový systém řízení pohledávek po splatnosti. Teoretická část se zabývá vymezením pojmů z oblasti finančního řízení, majetkové struktury, definuje pojem pohledávku, jejich ocenění a metodiku opravných položek. Práce se dále zabývá metodikou řízení pohledávek a uvedením jednotlivých nástrojů jejich řízení a vymáhání. Část je také věnována nástrojům finanční analýzy a to zejména z oblasti likvidity a aktivity. Praktická část se nejdříve věnuje představení společnosti, jejímu předmětu podnikání a je provedena SWOT analýza. Další část se zabývá popisem současného řízení pohledávek ve společnosti včetně provedení finanční analýzy. Dále je uvedena analýza současného stavu pohledávek s rozborem v jednotlivých letech. Závěr je věnován návrhům na zlepšení systému řízení pohledávek ve společnosti.

Abstract:

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to evaluate current and previous situation of receivables management at the company XY, s.r.o., to describe its approach to the solution of overdue receivables, to assess the development of these claims for the period 2008 - 2012 and confirm that the entity does not use imperfectly tools receivables management. At the same time will be described new system of management of receivables. The theoretical part deals with the definition of financial management, asset structure, defines receivable, valuation and provisioning methodology. The paper focuses on the methodology of claims management and bringing the tools of their management and recovery. Part of it is also given the tools of financial analysis and particularly in the area of liquidity and activity. The practical part is focused on the performance of the company, its core business and is carried out a SWOT analysis. Another part describes the current receivables management in the company including a financial analysis. The following is an analysis of the current status of receivables with an analysis of each year. The conclusion is devoted to suggestions for improving the receivables management in the company.
