Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce přibližuje specifika výkonu trestu odnětí svobody na doživotí v České republice, zamýšlí se nad jeho funkčností vzhledem k požadavkům společnosti a porovnává s již zrušeným trestem smrti. Teoretická část je věnována výjimečnému trestu, kam právě trest odnětí svobody na doživotí patří. Zejména tomu, jakým způsobem je vykonáván (vnitřní a vnější bezpečnost), kde se vykonává (typ věznice), jaká jsou pravidla zacházení s těmito odsouzenými a jací jsou vlastně vězni odsouzení na doživotí z pohledu psychologie osobnosti. V praktické části jsou prezentovány názory a postoje doživotně odsouzených na trest smrti a doživotí, dále jejich představy, pocity a přání vzhledem k životním okolnostem

Abstract:

Submitted dissertation focuses on specifications of life imprisonment and its execution in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, it is looking at its pragmatic function with regards to the requirements of the society and compares it to the abolished death penalty. The theoretical part of the dissertation is devoted to extreme penalty category where life imprisonment belongs. Expecially it researched the ways of conducting it (internal and external security measures), the types of prisons where life sentenced convicts are held, the prison rules of interaction with this type of convicts and the for life imprisoned person from psychological point of view. The practical part of the dissertation presents the views, opinions and thoughts of individuals sentenced to both death penalty and life imprisonment. Furhermore it presents the visions, feelings and wishes with regards to convict?s current life situation
