Etiquette as part of corporate culture and its importance for the selected company

Abstract:

V dané bakalářské práci se zabývám tématem využití etikety v konkrétní společnosti působící v České republice. Během práce jsem zjistila, do jaké míry zaměstnanci vybrané společnosti dodržují zásady etikety, k čemu slouží etiketa, význam etikety při společenském styku a také role využití etikety na obchodních jednáních. Zkoumání těchto otázek je možné najít v teoretické časti, která byla vytvořena na základě knih českých spisovatelů a vědeckých výzkumů. V praktické části jsem získala názory zaměstnanců na význam etikety pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Při rozhovorech se zaměstnanci z obchodního oddělení jsem se dozvěděla konkrétní pozitivní a negativní případy využití pravidel etikety a při pozorování jsem prozkoumala do jaké míry jsou tvrzení pracovníků pravdivé. V závěru práce jsem na základě celého výzkumu vytvořila návrh kodexu etikety pro danou společnost.

Abstract:

In this bachelor's thesis, I observe the application of etiquette rules in a particular Czech company. During my research, I revealed the level of employees’ adherence to the principles of etiquette, determined the importance of etiquette in social interaction and its role in business negotiations, as well as determined the purposes that it serves. The analysis of these questions can be found in the theoretical part, which was inspired by the books of Czech writers and scholars’ research on relevant topics. The practical part, in turn, includes a questionnaire that aims to collect employees‘ opinions regarding etiquette application and the number of personal interviews with the company’s sales department representatives. During interviews, I learned about specific positive and negative cases involving employees' adherence to etiquette rules. Also, in the practical part, I examined the level of truthfulness of the responses provided by respondents. In the final chapter, I proposed an etiquette code suitable for the observed company.
