Potential benefits and risks of further development of artificial intelligence in medicine

Abstract:

Rozvoj umělé inteligence s sebou přináší mnohé otázky, většinou etického rázu, proto se na ně jakožto student filosofie chci zaměřit. Cílem mé práce je představit ucelený souhrn dějin umělé inteligence a nahlédnout do problematiky umělé inteligence v medicíně. Hlavní metodou mé práce je analýza nejaktuálnějších zahraničních vědeckých článků o této problematice, o které v současnosti vznikají stále nové výzkumy a neustále se dosahuje pokroku. V práci dospěji k závěru, že umělá inteligence má převážně pozitivní přínosy, ale jako všechno má i své nevýhody. Došel jsem k závěru, že další výzkum této problematiky je potřebný, neboť umělá inteligence je dle mého názoru ještě ve svých začátcích a časem přinese ještě mnohem větší užitek.

Abstract:

The development of artificial intelligence brings with it many questions, mostly of a nature, so as a student of philosophy I want to focus on them. The aim of my work is to present a comprehensive summary of the history of artificial intelligence and to investigate the issue of artificial intelligence in medicine. The main method of my work is the analysis of the most current foreign scientific articles on this issue, about which new research is currently being developed and progress is constantly being made. In this work I come to the conclusion that artificial intelligence has mostly positive benefits, but like everything has its disadvantages. I have concluded that further research on this issue is needed, as artificial intelligence is, in my opinion, still in its infancy and will bring much greater benefits over time.
