Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá reflexí demonstrací proti německému zvukovému filmu v Praze ve dnech 22. – 27. září 1930 na stránkách Lidových novin a Národních listů. V práci byla jako výzkumná metoda zvolena metoda diskursivní analýzy, kterou popsal James Paul Gee, a také způsoby operace ideologie Johna B. Thompsona. V 10 vybraných článcích se analýza zaměřuje na definování a popsání mediálního obrazu filmových demonstrací v Praze a také odlišných mechanismů, kterými byl tento obraz vytvořen. Práce se skládá z pěti částí. Historický exkurs pojednává v první části o poměrech v předválečném Československu, především o vztazích mezi Čechy a Němci. Druhá část historického exkurzu je pak věnována vývoji mluveného filmu, jeho nástupu na československou filmovou scénu a následným demonstracím, které se strhly v Praze proti jeho německé verzi. Teoretickou část práce tvoří koncepty sociální a mediální konstrukce reality, teorie reprezentace, ideologie, nacionalismu a diskursu. Metodologická část popisuje výzkumné otázky, výzkumný vzorek a metodu. V analytické části jsou aplikována teoretická východiska na vybrané novinové články, přičemž v závěru jsou shrnuty výsledky provedené analýzy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is concerned with media reflexion of demonstrations against German sound films in Prague between 22. – 27. September 1930 on pages of Lidové noviny and Národní listy. In this thesis was used the method of discourse analysis descripted by James Paul Gee, and as well modes of operations of ideology by John B. Thompson. In ten selected articles was the analysis focusing on description of media representation of film demonstrations in Prague and as well on different ways, which were used for creation of this representation. This thesis consists of five parts. The historical context deals with the then conditions in the pre-war Czechoslovakia, mainly with the relations between Czechs and Germans. The development of sound film, its beginning on the Czechoslovak film scene and the following demonstrations in Prague against its German sound version in are developed in the second part of the historical context. The theoretical part of the thesis is comprised of concepts of social and media construction of reality, theory of representation, ideology, nationalism and discourse. The methodological part describes research questions, research sample and methods. In the analytical part are applied the theoretical frameworks to selected articles, and the results of the performed analysis are summed in the final part up.
