Specifics of marketing communication targeting men

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá specifiky cílení marketingové komunikace na muže. V první části poskytuje teoretický základ k marketingové komunikaci, následně popisuje genderovou problematiku, vysvětluje nákupní chování mužů a v neposledně řadě stanoví konkrétní specifika pro tvorbu marketingové komunikace cílené na muže. Druhá část práce je založena na obsahové analýze a sérii rozhovorů. Pro tyto analýzy jsou zvoleny dvě konkrétní firmy nabízející produkty, jež jsou shledávány jako typicky maskulinní. Hlavním cílem daného výzkumu je zjistit, jaká jsou specifika cílení marketingové komunikace na muže. Kvalitativní analýzy zároveň tvoří základ pro zodpovězení výzkumných otázek, zda jsou stanovená specifika na základě literární rešerše účinná, konkrétně se jedná o komunikační strategii, humor, vizualizaci, psychologii barev, vyobrazení hlavní postavy a zvuk. Následně zhodnotí, který z těchto faktorů je nejvýznamnější z pohledu zákazníka.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the specifics of targeting marketing communication to men. In the first part it provides a theoretical basis for marketing communication, then it describes gender issues, explains men's purchasing behavior and last but not least it sets out specifics for the creation of marketing communication targeted at men. The second part of the thesis is based on content analysis and a series of interviews. For these analyses, two specific companies offering products that are found to be typically masculine are chosen. The main objective of the research is to find out what are the specifics of targeting marketing communication to men. The qualitative analyses also serve as a basis for answering the research questions of whether the specifics identified through the literature search are effective, specifically the communication strategy, humor, visualization, color psychology, portrayal of the main character, and sound. And then to evaluate which of these factors is most significant from the customer's perspective.
