Analysis of support for sustainable development of selected companies using enterprise information systems

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá tématikou udržitelného rozvoje a podporou udržitelného rozvoje v podnikové praxi pomocí podnikových informačních systémů. Cílem práce je zhodnotit současný stav toho, zda a jak vybrané firmy v České republice využívají své podnikové informační systémy pro podporu svých cílů v oblasti udržitelného rozvoje. Pro dosažení tohoto cíle je třeba vymezit pojem udržitelného rozvoje z pohledu podniku, včetně souvisejícího legislativního rámce, dále vymezit pojem podnikového informačního systému, rozsah jeho funkčností a jak tyto funkčnosti mohou podporovat udržitelný rozvoj podniku. Je také nutno zjistit podporu udržitelného rozvoje v rámci řešení dodavatelů informačních systémů. Následně je třeba na základě vytvořené metodiky realizovat dotazníkové šetření mezi českými podniky a provést hodnocení zjištěného stavu. Práce má ukázat, do jaké míry je role podnikových informačních systémů pro podporu cílů udržitelného rozvoje podniků klíčová. Z práce bude možno zjistit, které oblasti udržitelného rozvoje mají ze strany podnikových informačních systémů největší podporu. Případným zájemcům o toto téma ukáže, jaké funkčnosti podniky využívají a plánují využívat, případně jaké přínosy lze očekávat.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of sustainable development and support for the sustainable development in business practice through enterprise information systems. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current state of the usage of the enterprise information systems by companies in Czech Republic to support their sustainable development goals. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to explain the concept of sustainable development in the context of company, the related legislative framework, to characterize the concept of enterprise information system, the scope of its functionalities and how these functionalities can support the sustainable development of the company. It is also necessary to find out the support for sustainable development within the solutions of key information system vendors. Subsequently, based on the created methodology, to conduct a questionnaire survey among Czech companies and to evaluate the identified situation. The thesis will show to what extent the role of enterprise information systems in supporting sustainable development goals is crucial. The work will show which areas of sustainable development have the greatest support from enterprise information systems. For those interested in this issue, it will show what functionalities companies use and plan to use, or what benefits they can expect.
