Communication system in education mentally handicapped students

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku komunikace jedinců s mentálním postižením a na využívání různých komunikačních systémů při jejich vzdělávání. Cílem mé diplomové práce je poukázat na nutnost využívání alternativních a augmentativních komunikačních systémů ve výuce. Prezentovat komunikační systémy, které lze vyžívat při vzdělávání mentálně postižených jedinců. Práce je členěna do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola je zaměřena na definici, klasifikaci a příčiny vzniku mentálního postižení. Druhá kapitola popisuje možnosti výchovy a vzdělávání jedinců s mentálním postižením, druhy integrace a legislativní podporu. Dále jsou zde popisovány možnosti vzdělávání dětí s autismem. Třetí kapitola řeší problematiku komunikace mentálně postižených jedinců a popis jednotlivých alternativních a augmentativních komunikačních systémů. V této kapitole jsou více rozpracovány komunikační systémy (VOKS, Makaton), které byly použity při výzkumném šetření. Čtvrtá kapitola zahrnuje vlastní výzkumná šetření, která byla zaměřena na využití alternativních a augmentativních komunikačních systémů v praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the problematics of the comunication of the persons with a mental disability, and on using of the different communicating systems for their education. The aim of my thesis is to show the necesity of the aplication of the alternative and augmentative communicating systems during the lessons, and to present the communicating systems which can be used during the education of the mentally disabled persons. The work is devided into four chapters. The first one is focused on the definition, classification and causes of the arise of the mental disabilities. The second chapter describes the possibilities of bringing-up and education of the mentally disabled, kinds of integration and the legislative support. Then, there are described the possibilities of education of the children with autism. The third chapter solves the problematics of the communication of the mentally disabled persons, and the description of the alternative and augmentative communicating systems. In this chapter, I work more with the systems VOKS and Makaton which were used in the scientific research. The fourth chapter includes my own reaserch which was focused on the aplication of the alternative and augmentative communicating systems in practise.
