The balance of payements since the adoption of Czech Republic to EU, trends and perspectives

Abstract:

Analýza platební bilance ukazuje, že vstup České republiky do Evropské unie znamenal zlepšení vnější ekonomické rovnováhy země, zvýšení objemu mezinárodní obchodní výměny a rostoucí intenzitu finančních kapitálových toků ze zahraničí. S přijetím České republiky do Evropské unie se tuzemský kapitálový trh stává důvěrnější, zvyšuje se příliv zahraničního kapitálu a zájem zahraničních investorů investovat do dluhových cenných papírů emitovaných tuzemskými rezidenty na zahraničních trzích. Při analýze vývoje platební bilance je patrný vliv měnové krize, oslabení měny, pokles exportu, snížený zájmu zahraničních investorů a omezený přísun zahraničních investic. Následné oživení ekonomiky podpořilo pozitivní vývoj platební bilance České republiky a celkově upevnilo její postavení v Evropské unii.

Abstract:

Analysis of the balance of payments shows that the Czech Republic's accession to the European Union marked improvement in the economic balance of the country, the increase in international trade and increasing intensity of financial capital flows from abroad. With the adoption of the Czech Republic into the European Union, the domestic capital market becomes more intimate, increasing the inflow of foreign capital and the interest of foreign investors to invest in debt securities issued by domestic residents in foreign markets.When analyzing the balance of payments is evident influence the currency crisis, currency depreciation, decline in exports, reduced interrest of foreign investors and a limited supply of foreign investment. Subsequent recovery of the economy promoted positive balance of the Czech Republic´s balance of payments and the overall consolidated its position in the European Union.
