The Key Competencies of Managers in Leadership of Employees in the Bank

Abstract:

The aim of our thesis was to analyze the key competencies of managers in the management of employees in the banking institution Slovenská sporiteľňa, Inc., to develop their capabilities and thereby improve not only their application, development, but also the value of the employer. The work is divided into four chapters. It contains 16 graphs, 11 tables, 10 pictures and 11 attachments. The first chapter is devoted to theoretical characterization of competencies and the core competencies of managers. It refers to the styles of leadership and management employees, key knowledge and skills managers and the possibility of their development. The second chapter is devoted to the research problem, specifies the main objective of the work and milestones. The further chapter characterized in detail the methods that were used in the work to achieve the goals and also describes the methodological approach work. The third chapter is devoted to the actual output of the methods used, in particular the result of research program and statistical tests, that have become hollow methods final thesis. On the interpretation of the results were the instruments used descriptive statistics and pie charts, colum charts, bar charts, line graphs and tables. The conclusion offers constructive suggestions for improvement and possible future prospects for improving the work of managers in leading employees in Slovenská sporiteľňa, Inc., as a summarizy the outcomes of the result of the work.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá analýzou kľúčových kompetencií manažérov pri vedení zamestnancov v bankovej inštitúcii Slovenská sporiteľňa, a.s., a možnosťami ich rozvíjania. Zlepšenie kompetencií napomôže nielen ich uplatneniu, ale aj zvýši ich hodnotu pre zamestnávateľa. Práca je rozdelená do štyroch kapitol. Obsahuje 16 grafov, 11 tabuliek, 10 obrázkov a 11 príloh. Prvá kapitola sa teoreticky venuje charakteristike kompetencií a kľúčových kompetencií manažérov. Poukazuje na štýly vedenia a riadenia zamestnancov, kľúčové znalosti a schopnosti manažérov ako riadiacich pracovníkov, možnosti ich rozvíjania. Druhá kapitola je venovaná výskumnému problému, špecifikuje hlavný cieľ práce a čiastkové ciele. Ďalej podrobne charakterizuje metódy, ktoré boli v práci použité na dosiahnutie vytýčených cieľov a taktiež popisuje metodologický postup práce. Tretia kapitola je venovaná samotným výstupom jednotlivých použitých metód, najmä výsledkom výskumného programu a štatistickým testom, ktoré sa stali nosnými metódami záverečnej práce. Na interpretáciu výsledkov boli použité nástroje opisnej štatistiky, a to koláčové, stĺpcové, pruhové, čiarkové grafy a tabuľky. Záver práce ponúka konštruktívne návrhy zlepšenia a perspektívy možného budúceho skvalitnenia práce manažérov pri vedení zamestnancov v Slovenskej sporiteľni, a.s. a zhrnutie výstupov výsledkovej časti práce.
