Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce s názvem v anglickém originále Classroom Roles of English Language Teachers in the 21st Century se zaměřuje na rozdílně vnímané postoje kvalifikovaných učitelů k jejich rolím ve třídě a na role, se kterými se ztotožňují při výuce angličtiny jako druhého a cizího jazyka, a to jak na prvním, tak na druhém stupni základních škol v České republice. Teoretická část práce charakterizuje tradiční role učitelů, na které navazují cenné poznatky o vůdčích rolích učitelů relevantních pro současnou výuku. Praktická část představuje zjištění z dotazníkového šetření na vzorku učitelů českých základních škol prvního a druhého stupně. Jako výzkumná metoda byl zvolen anonymní dotazník. Učitelé byli dotazováni na své postoje k rolím ve výuce a na to, co považují za zvláště důležité. Respondenti byli také požádáni, aby dotazník vyplnili online, což usnadnilo oslovení respondentů, minimalizovalo čas a úsilí potřebné k poskytnutí a zpracování odpovědí a umožnilo respondentům volněji odpovídat.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis, entitled Classroom Roles of English Language Teachers in the 21st Century, focuses on different perceived attitudes of teachers towards their roles in the classroom and the roles they identify with when teaching English as a second and foreign language, both primary and lower-secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis characterises traditional teacher roles, followed by valuable insights into the leading teacher roles relevant to today's teaching. The practical part presents findings from a questionnaire survey sample of Czech primary and lower secondary school teachers. An anonymous questionnaire was chosen as the research method. Teachers were asked about their attitudes towards roles in teaching and what they consider particularly important. Respondents were also asked to complete the questionnaire online, making it easier to reach respondents, minimising the time and effort required to provide and process responses, and allowing respondents to answer more freely.
