Tato práce se zabývá názory Karla Čapka na drama a divadlo. Časově je omezena na dvacátá léta dvacátého století, především na jejich první polovinu, během které se Čapek divadlu intenzivně věnoval jak teoreticky na poli publicistiky, tak prakticky jako dramaturg a režisér v Městském divadle na Král. Abstract:
The thesis deals with Karel Čapek's opinions on drama and theatre and is defined by the period of the 1920s. During this time Čapek was deeply interested in theater not just thanks to his journalism carieer; he also worked as a dramaturgist and director in the Městské divadlo na Král. Vinohradech Theatre.
