In this thesis, I describe main characteristics of embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent cells. I describe main physiological, morphological and genetic characteristics of these cells. I also show differences between mouse and human embryonic stem cells. I study methods for induction of relatively recently discovered induced pluripotent cells. V tejto bakalárskej práci sa venujem popisu hlavných charakteristík embryonálnych kmeňových buniek a indukovaných pluripotentných buniek. Popisujem základné fyziologické, morfologické a genetické vlastnosti týchto buniek. Poukazujem tiež na rozdiely medzi myšími a ľudskými embryonálnymi kmeňovými bunkami.
