Tato diplomová práce pojednává o úloze cizojazyčné literatury a využití literárního textu ve výuce francouzského jazyka na českých gymnáziích. Teoretická část je rozdělena do šesti kapitol. Nejprve se zabývá vymezením pojmu literatura, zkoumá roli literatury ve vzdělávání a její pojetí v rámci českých kurikulárních dokumentů a vzdělávacích programů.
