Diplomová práce má za cíl poukázat na míru rasismu v americkém trestním řízení a americké společnosti a jejích složek na příkladu dvou justičních omylů, kdy byly dvě skupinky Afroameričanů neprávem odsouzeny za znásilnění bílých žen – The Scottsboro Boys a The Central Park Five. The present diploma thesis aims to expose the level of racism in American justice system and American society by using two miscarriages of justice where two groups of African Americans were wrongfully convicted of raping white women, the Scottsboro Boys and the Central Park Five cases.
