General public awareness of breast cancer prevention

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá povědomím laické populace žen o prevenci nádorového onemocnění prsu. Je rozdělena na dvě části, a to část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část zahrnuje základní informace a stručný přehled o problematice nádorového onemocnění prsu. Zahrnuty jsou také organizace spojené s prevencí tohoto onemocnění. V praktické části analyzuji výsledky dotazníkového šetření, kde jsem zjišťovala míru informovanosti žen o rizikových faktorech, diagnostice, léčbě a především prevenci nádorového onemocnění prsu. Nejvíce jsem se zaměřila na znalost problematiky tohoto onemocnění a znalost samovyšetření prsu a mamografického screeningu.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis is deal with awareness of layman woman population about breast cancer. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part includes basic information and brief summary about issue of breast cancer. Also included are organizations associated with the prevention of this disease. In the practical part I analyze the results of questionnaire survey. I detected awareness of woman about risk factors, diagnosis, treatment and especially about prevention of breast cancer. Mostly I focused on the knowledge of this disease and knowledge of breast self- examination and mammography screening.
