Eating disorders of college students

Abstract:

Poruchy příjmu potravy patří mezi onemocnění psychické ovlivňující fyzické zdraví jedince a jeho osobní a sociální aspekty života. Cílem práce je základní zjištění stravovacích návyků a pohybové aktivity u vybraných studentů SOŠ, které slouží pro prevenci, případně podezření na poruchu Pro účely praktické části závěrečné práce byl vytvořen dotazník o stravovacích zvyklostech a fyzické aktivitě pro studenty střední odborné školy. Dotazník obsahoval 28 otázek a byl rozdělen na tři části - osobní informace, stravovací návyky a fyzická aktivita. Respondenty dotazníku byli chlapci adolescentního věku (průměr věku 17,9 let; n=15) druhého a třetího ročníku SOŠ. Z vyhodnocení odpovědí respondentů na otázky stravovacích návyků vyplývá, že 46 % studentů konzumuje 4 porce za den a 40 % tedy během dne nepociťuje hlad. Na druhou stranu 60 % studentů se domnívá, že se nestravují zdravě. U 40 % studentů tvoří voda a neslazené nápoje pouze méně než 1 litr za den. Do pitného režimu je u studentů kromě vody a neslazených nápojů zahrnuty i méně vhodné nápoje jako jsou slazené nápoje, energetické nápoje nebo káva. 53 % respondentů uvedlo, že si nehlídají příjem jednotlivých živin (bílkovin, sacharidů nebo tuků).Z hlediska fyzické aktivity mohu výsledky shrnout, že více než polovina studentů ve volném čase vykonává sportovní aktivitu 3x týdně. Z toho třetina, která se věnovala sportovní aktivitě od mladších školních let v ní pokračuje nadále. 60 procent respondentů uvedlo, že mají více tukové tkáně než by chtěli. Naopak ale nad svojí postavou, vzhledem se zamýšlí pouze 20 % studentů.

Abstract:

Eating disorders are mental illnesses that affect an individual's physical health and personal and social life aspects. The aim of the work is a basic finding of eating habits and physical activity of college students which should be use for prevention or suspicion of a disorder. The questionnaire contained 28 questions and was divided into three parts - personal information, eating habits and physical activity. The respondents to the questionnaire were boys of adolescent age (average age 17.9 years; n = 15) of the second and third year of college. The evaluation of answers from eating habits shows that 46 % of students consume 4 portions per day and 40 % do not feel hungry during the day. On the other hand, 60 % of students believe that they do not eat healthily. For 40 % of students, water and unsweetened drinks make up less than 1 liter per day. Students drinking regime includes less suitable beverages such as sugary beverages, energy drinks or coffee. 53 % of respondents stated that they do not monitor the intake of individual nutrients (proteins, carbohydrates or fats). In terms of physical activity, I can summarize the results that more than half of students in their free time perform sports activities 3 times a week. A third of them did sports activity has continued since the younger school years. 60 percent of respondents said they have more adipose tissue than they would like. On the contrary, 20 % of students contemplate about their physical appearance.
