Information overload while driving a cars and its effects on humans

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá Informačním přehlcením při řízení automobilů a jeho dopady na člověka. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, a to na teoretickou část a praktickou část. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení pojmu informační přehlcení od historie až po současný stav. Dále se teoretická část zabývá vznikem informačního přehlcení, jeho postupným vývojem, jeho dopady na člověka a možnými řešeními této problematiky. Praktická část je věnována vyhodnocení dotazníku, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, jak se laická veřejnost staví k problematice informační přehlcenosti při řízení automobilu. Tato bakalářská práce se skládá z šesti kapitol, kdy každá pojednává o různých aspektech informačního přehlcení. V první kapitole je vymezen pojem informačního přehlcení, jeho historie a současný stav poznání. Druhá kapitola pojednává o vzniku informačního přehlcení a jeho příčinách. Ve třetí kapitole jsou definovány dopady informačního přehlcení na člověka, a to jak na psychické, tak i na fyzické úrovni. Čtvrtá kapitola je věnována metodám a postupům řešení informačního přehlcení. Nachází se zde jak teoretické postupy, tak i praktické rady. Pátá kapitola se zabývá praktickou částí. Úvodem je stručný přehled zkoumaného tématu, a to vlivu řízení osobního automobilu na informační přehlcení. Dále je zde popsána historie uživatelského rozhraní automobilu a současný stav. V šesté kapitole je vyhodnocen dotazník, jehož cílem je vyzkoumat zda-li řízení osobního automobilu přispívá k informačnímu přehlcení.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with information overload while driving and its effects on people. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical part, and the practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to defining of the concept of information overload ranges from history to the present. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the emergence of information overload, its gradual development, its effects on people and possible solutions of this problem. The practical part is devoted to the evaluation of the questionnaire. The aim of this questionnaire was to find out how the lay public finds the issue of information overload when driving a car. This bachelor's thesis consists of six chapters, where it discusses various aspects of information overload. The first chapter defines the concept of information overload, its history, and the current state of knowledge. The second chapter discusses the emergence of information overload and its causes. In the third chapter, the effects of information overload on a person are defined, both on a psychological and a physical level. The fourth chapter is devoted to methods and procedures for solving information overload. Here you will find both theoretical procedures and practical advice. The fifth chapter deals with the practical part. The introduction is a brief overview of the research topic, namely the effect of driving a car on information overload. Furthermore, the history of the car's user interface and its current state are described here. In the sixth chapter, a questionnaire is evaluated, the aim of which is to investigate whether driving a car leads to information overload.
