Language policies in Brazil and Portugal: relationship between Portuguese and minority languages
Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with language policies in two lusophone countries, Brazil and Portugal. It presents basic principles of language policy and later goes on to analyze the situation in the two aforementioned countries with the main research focus being the relationship between Portuguese as a majority language with other minority languages.
Abstract:
Diplomová práca predstavuje jazykovú politiku v dvoch lusofónnych krajinách - v Portugalsku a v Brazílii. V práci predkladáme základné princípy fungovania jazykovej politiky a neskôr prechádzame k analýze situácie v daných krajinách, pričom hlavným výskumným cieľom je vzťah portugalčiny ako majoritného jazyka a ostatných menšinových jazykov.
