Mikuláš Medek (1926-1974) byl českým malířem, jenž se zapsal do podvědomí mnoha milovníků moderního umění. Vytvořil si originální tvůrčí styl, jenž se stal rozeznatelným na první pohled. Celé Medkovo dílo, včetně básní a surrealistických obrazů, je nezbytné vnímat v širším dobovém kontextu, neboť byl zasažen komunistickým režimem, který se v tvorbě nepochybně odráží. Abstract:
Mikuláš Medek (1926-1974) was a czech painter who entered the subconscious of many lovers of modern art. He created an original creative style, which became recognizable at first sight. Medek's entire work of art, including poems and surrealist paintings, must be seen in a broader context, as it was affected by the communist regime, which is undoubtedly reflected in his work.
